Mitel Live Business Gateway 3.0 improves 3300 IP phone system network scalability and deployment
 

 

Mitel Live Business Gateway Release 3.0 software is now available. In addition to supporting Mitel 5330 and 5340 IP Phones, it offers improved scalability and deployment options.

Live Business Gateway can now connect up to ten Mitel 3300 IP phone systems and support 2,500 users. Release 3.0 can be installed on a Linux platform or Microsoft OS using the Mitel Managed Application Server – further reducing deployment costs.

Live Business Gateway is also supported on an Applications Processor Card - a consolidated platform capable of hosting call processing as well as add-on Mitel telephony applications - making it a very convenient solution for smaller businesses or branch locations.

It’s improvements like these that have earned Live Business Gateway the prestigious “Product of the Year” award from the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. We know you’ll be impressed too!

VoIP Performance Tip…
Pay close attention to QoS

 

As people and workgroups in your business continue to demand access to applications and data - anytime, anywhere - you may have bumped into some performance problems or slow response times on your network. This sluggishness is particularly harmful to voice.

Sure, you can add more bandwidth, but that gets expensive. A better way of dealing with the performance problem is by establishing adequate Quality of Service (QoS) for each application.

Your routers and switches control the flow of data on your network. They can also look at a packet of information and see that it is for a phone call or a video broadcast and give it priority over other packets.
